Common questions
Can OrgTide read my Salesforce records?
No. OrgTide works with metadata - Apex, Flows, Lightning components, objects, and configuration. It never queries, reads, or stores your business records (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, or any other business data), by design. The only records it reads are a few setup ones a task needs, such as your org's name and the permissions of the profiles you ask it to change - the Privacy page lists them.
Can it change my org without my approval?
No. Every build arrives as a card you read first - what is created, who can see it, what the safety scan found. Before the card appears, OrgTide asks your org's compiler to check the code, in a check-only run that saves nothing. Nothing is saved to your org until you click Deploy, and that deploy runs the change's Apex tests inside one all-or-nothing transaction, after a rollback snapshot.
Do I need a sandbox?
You build in a sandbox or a free Developer Edition org - production is never a workspace. A production org can only be connected as a guarded deploy target, behind typed confirmations, check-only validation, and a rollback snapshot.
What happens to my flows?
Generated flows always arrive as a new, inactive version. OrgTide never activates a flow - you review and activate it in Salesforce when you're ready.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan needs no card - connect an org and start analyzing and building. Paid plans add more workspaces, a larger usage allowance, and Opus access when you want them.
Which AI models power it - and is my code used to train them?
OrgTide uses Anthropic's Claude models through the Anthropic API, sending what each task needs: your messages and attachments, plus the relevant metadata from your org - never its business records. Per Anthropic's API terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models.
I have years of existing metadata - am I starting from zero?
No. Import a metadata zip (Metadata API or SFDX format) or individual files and they land exactly as uploaded - no AI rewriting - as changes ready to check and deploy. You can also pull components directly from any org you connect.
Can I take my work with me?
Yes. Download any change or release as a standard Metadata API zip, export your org's metadata whenever you like, and deleting your account removes your orgs, conversations, changes, and history from OrgTide. The Privacy page lists the few things that remain, such as Stripe's invoices.
